Description: Our 11 week program is great for any fit beginner, or if you have some triathlon experience we can definitely help you to set a PR.
Our weekly workouts will take place in Central Park and will be a combination of run, bike and bricks workouts. Improved pacing, increased endurance and strength & conditioning will be the over-riding focus of the class. Considerable time and practice will be given over to understanding and mastering the often neglected transitions.
In addition to our twice weekly group workouts where we will focus on running, cycling, and Bricks we will have ONE group swim workouts. The one Goup Swim Workout will coordinate with and supplemented with weekly online swim instruction. If a stronger swim concentration is desired we offer you a $25.00 discount on any of our fitness level specific, tri-swim classes, offered separately on weekday evenings in various locations in Manhattan. We will RUN on the weekdays and CYCLE on the weekends only.
While this class is appropriate for first time triathletes, it is NOT appropriate for first time athletes - as such you MUST already be able to swim 500 yards continuously, run 30 minutes continuously, and bike 12 miles continuously - regardless of pace by the first class. Ample time will be devoted to race day preparation so that if this is your first triathlon, you will be well prepared and confident come race day.
Fee: $265 w/Out race registration and $450 WITH race registration. YES, even though the race is sold you registration in our training program WILL assure you race entry if you elect.
Days/Date/Times: The class meets every Tuesday from 6:45-7:45pm and every Saturday morning at 7:00am. The class starts Tuesday, July 10th and goes through race day, September 23rd. We will NOT have class September 1st for the Labor Day holiday weekend.
