This program is for anyone who wants to be a better swimmer, not just triathletes. The goal of this course is to go through all elements of the swim stroke (freestyle/crawl) to help you become as efficient as possible. Swimming is a sport where proper technique and form are more important than sheer strength.
Each week we will focus on a different part of the stroke with drills and exercises, then combine those skills with lap swims focused on technique. In addition, we will provide one or two workouts and drills for you to do on your own so you maintain a good feel for the water in-between classes. At the end of this class you'll feel much more comfortable in the water, much more in control of your swimming, and much, much faster. This class is NOT for beginners and we suggest that folks looking to participate in this program MUST already be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool in some semblance of the freestyle/crawl stroke (regardless of speed, or lack thereof) and be able to tread water.

Where & When: Our class will meet every Sunday from 6:00pm-7:00pm starting Sunday, April 28th thru July 7th with NO class May 26th for the Memorial Day weekend. The pool is in Yorkshire Towers Fitness located at 305 East 86th St between 2nd and 1st Avenues.
