The nation's premier road race is a thrilling and exhilirating experience for both participant and spectator alike.  However, this is the year that you've made the decision to leave the ranks of spectator and experience this monumental race as a runner.  We at JackRabbit understand the enormity of this event and have the tools and experienced coaches to help you achieve your race day goals.

This program is geared toward the individual who already has a solid running base, can run at least 6 miles continuously at a 10:30 per mile pace or better and whose goal is to finish the race.  The twice weekly group workouts will focus on honing your existing running skills - accurate pacing and increased endurance.  We will divid ethe class into different pace groups based on your individual pace and ability. Distance running strategies will be covered in addition to nutrition, hydration, running gear, staying healthy and their unique roles in a race of theis length and duration.  Ample time will be given to race day preparation so that your big day is a successful and positive experience.  (Registration does not include race entry).  Please note that participants MUST be able to run 6 miles by the first class.

We will head out of the park for one workout as we cover the last 8  iles of the race course, otherwise ALL workouts will take place in Prospect Park.

In addition to our twice weekly group workouts will be an Online Training component updated weekly letting you know what we'll be doing in class that week as well as some suggsted in-between class homework.

Informational Meeting: if you're curious about the program but aren't quite sure if it's going to be a good fit for you, please join us Wednesday, May 30th from 7-8pm to meet the coach(s) and get all of your questions answered.  This Informational Mereting in NOT required in any way, but simply an opportunity to learn a bit more about the program.  We will meet at the Park Slope store at 151 7th Avenue.

Days/Time/Dates:  Every Tuesday at 7pm and Saturday mornings at 7am from July 17th thru November 4th. We will not have class September 1st in honor of the Labor Day holiday.  Our Tuesday workouts will be 60 minutes and the Saturday workouts will start out at 60 minutes but get progressivly longer as our mileage increases.
