With the New Year fast approaching, NOW is the time to make a plan to reach your personal health and fitness goals! Our Level I program is designed for individuals who have never run before, or who have not run in a very long time and want a structured introduction to get in shape without getting injured along the way. Our twice weekly meetings start with very gentle group workouts combining walking and running. Your body is given ample time to adapt to running over the entire ten week period. There are never any stopwatches or timing, just a supportive and safe environment as we build to the goal of running 3.1 miles continuously.
In addition to our twice weekly group workouts, we will also provide you with suggested in-between class homework via weekly emails, so in essence we are there for you with support & structure every day of the 10-weeks. This is ideal for folks that need to miss class due to existing commitments, allowing you to follow along and keep up with the class.
ALL of our classes are held outdoors and we run in the rain, snow, and whatever temperatures mother nature throws our way, and we promise to make it fun!
Fee: $145 ($125 for JCC Members)
Days/Time: Every Tuesday at 6:45pm and Saturday at 8:30am, two group workouts per week, approximately 60 minutes each
Dates: Class starts Tuesday, January 7th the finish March 15th.
Where: We will meet at JackRabbit's new Upper West Side store at 72nd between Broadway & Columbus. Folks coming from work can change clothes and keep your belongings at the store and they will be taken care of.
*All JackRabbit programs are adult only and person must be 18 years of age by the first day of class. Only registered adults may participate and dogs and strollers are not invited to participate.
